Brandon

Brandon Kolybaba

El Presidente

As the President and Managing Partner of Norex, Brandon is a leading entrepreneur with over 15 years of Internet industry experience. Focusing on creative technology solutions that leverage the Internet to solve complex business and marketing problems, has earned him local and national recognition. Although he has a degree in marketing, he also has experience in IT at several enterprise class Canadian companies including Shell Canada, BMW, and CP Hotels. This has given him valuable insight into developing practical solutions for our customers. Brandon's leadership skills and IT know-how come from a strong academic foundation as well as his practical experience.

Matt Rudderham

Sales Manager

Matt has been building computer programs since the early 90's and has developed an in-depth understanding of what works and what doesn't on the web. His knowledge has become a crucial benefit to our customers as it enables him to fully understand complicated problems and gives him the tools to ensure our team gets the job done right every time. Before becoming a partner at Norex, Matt graduated from St. Francis Xavier University with a degree in Information Systems.

Dave MacDonald

Business Development Manager

David has worn many hats over the years, including Internet installer for Eastlink and technical support representative with Research in Motion (RIM). This varied background has provided David with unique customer relation experience and the technical knowledge to communicate effectively with even the most inexperienced users. David is originally from Newfoundland and no, he isn't really a Viking.

Kimberley MacLean

Accounts & Bookkeeping

Originally from Antigonish, Kim is a graduate of CBU with an Accounting Diploma and a Bachelor of Business Administration.  After working for a few years in Toronto, Kim decided to move back to the Maritimes with her newly expanded family.  She is the Chief Financial Officer for Norex and handles all customer accounts.  Kim's dedication to customer service and exceptional attention to detail makes her a important part of the Norex team.  When not in the office she can always be found playing with her son and spending time with close friends.

Justin

Justin Bellefontaine

Multimedia Designer

Justin is a college educated graphic and digital media designer with a diploma from The Centre of Arts and Technology, Halifax Campus. Bringing a whole new dimension to Norex, Justin works directly with a variety of clients to develop specialized design solutions for both web and print. With his clean and professional approach to design, Justin has elevated our business to a new level. In his spare time Justin is an avid guitarist and belongs to a small jam band.

Chris Troup

Nerdus Maximus

Chris is an enthusiastic and extremely talented web developer. His natural aptitude with computing and passion for solving problems allowed him to win several programming competitions while still in high school. As a result of his success, some of Canada's leading IT companies such as Nortel recruited him at an early age. His expertise with PHP, Java, VB, AJAX, XML, and other languages make him an invaluable member of the Norex team.

David W

David Wolfe

R&D Team Lead

David has a PhD in Computer Science from the University of California Berkley. He has been teaching a wide range of computer courses for 15 years and, as a broadly trained computer scientist, is able to pick up new technologies quickly and leverage them to make our team efficient. He is a (perhaps overly) strong proponent of the DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself) programming principle in order to write clean, versatile code. David is a games enthusiast and has authored books on puzzles and the mathematics of games.

Adam Thurlow

Web Application Developer

Adam is a Dean's List graduate of the Information Systems Technology program from New Brunswick Community College, Moncton Campus. He has a sort of unconscious competence when it comes to programming, and often seems be able to "smell" his way through a problem, and choose the most optimal & latest toolset for the job. He is a frontrunner for introducing new technologies into production. In his spare time, he is enthusiastic about painting and delving into up and coming frameworks and languages.

Anas

Anas Trabulsi

Systems Analyst

Anas has a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering and a master's degree in Electronic Commerce from Dalhousie University. He has worked mostly with web applications, e-commerce, and e-learning solutions. His major expertise is with Software Engineering and requirements analysis, PHP, MySQL, web security and e-payment. He is a problem solver at heart. In his spare time, Anas likes to listen to classical music and play soccer.

Heather Fraser

Project Manager

Heather has been involved in print and online media for about 10 years, working primarily in the Project Management role. A graduate of the Saint Mary's University School of Business, she brings practical training together with both passion and compassion in everything she does. Heather thrives in a busy environment, staying on her toes is what she does best. Balancing work and family life is also a key attribute that keeps her focused and down to earth. She loves to be in the heart of the problem, working with her team to find the best solution for everyone involved. In Heather's spare time she likes to travel, spend time with family, and unwind and relax - if of course she can fit that in.

Julia

Julia Rivard

Creative Director

Julia Rivard has been involved in the sport of CanoeKayak for over 15 years. She was an Olympian at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 and managed the team operations in Beijing in 2008. Julia has been a member of the CanoeKayak Executive since 2002 and has held a variety of technical roles at flatwater events. Julia currently is a member of the Canadian Olympic Committee where she helps manage Olympic Team operations. Julia has played a key role on the development of this application by using her knowledge to help direct relevant deliverables. She also has an extensive base in creative direction and branding and is the lead in the development of any interface and usibility design that the system requires.
Graduate of Dalhousie University (Bachelor of Recreation Administration) and Nova Scotia College of Art & Design (Bachelor of Design) Co-founder and Creative Director of Queen Street Studios. Former Olympian, Kayak (K-4 500) Nominated for Globe and Mail’s Top 40 Under 40 of 2006.

Chris Lowe

Graphic Designer

Chris holds both a bachelor's degree in Marketing Management from Dalhousie University and an Interdisciplinary Design degree from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University. He is passionate about any form of design from traditional print to web as well as motion graphics and animation. Chris' background ranges from manual labour in rural Nova Scotia to tree planting in northern BC and an ESL teacher in South Korea. He has lived in three countries, studied in two and traveled in more than eight. His adventures over the years have brought him to a career focused point in his life where he cares about design and user experience.
